Lakeside Trim & Renovations is a home improvement company operating out of Port Perry, Ontario. This Durham region business specializes in all aspects of home renovations. Lakeside Trim and Renovations is owned and operated by James VanderWal and Rick Hayden.

After earning a business degree from Nippissing University, Rick started his first job in the construction field building custom homes from start to finish with a reputable Southern Ontario builder. Rick quickly found that he enjoyed working with his hands and discovered that building was his passion. He took pride in seeing his hard work come to form with each building that he helped to create. After developing his skills, he found that he was not satisfied working for others. With his family by his side and a vision in his mind he took the entrepreneurial step and founded Hayden Trim & Renovations.

From a young age James enjoyed assembling things. He knew from the beginning that he wanted to work in construction. After high school, he entered the trade and quickly acquired the skills to start his own company. James founded J & D Construction in Petrolia and established a reputable company in Southern, Ontario. Specializing in framing and trimming James had repeat customers and high referral rates from the beginning.

With expansion in mind James and Rick decided to join forces and founded Lakeside Trim & Renovations. Both men brought with them a wealth of knowledge and over twenty five years of experience. As a result of pride and hard work, Lakeside Trim & Renovations gained a reputation of quality craftsmanship, honesty and friendship. Lakeside Trim & Renovation’s main goal is to strive for excellence by setting new standards in quality construction and customer satisfaction.

James and Rick recognize that each customer expects and deserves the highest quality of service that is attainable. They strive to provide that level of craftsmanship for each contract that they sign. With that in mind each project is centred on the needs of their client.
